Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We'd visited some of the glass shops on Malta and wanted to buy a nice piece and we're willing to spend a couple of hundred Euros so visited the Mdina factory. It was interesting and there was a lot of choice. However every piece we looked at had things like bubbles or other imperfections or round parts that were not round etc. These were the full price, "perfect" items. It may be that this is because each one is handmade but if I saw any of these pieces on a friend's table at home I'd assume they had bought it cheap as a reject. So, disappointingly, we left empty handed.

Worldwide shipping, but only worthwhile if it actually arrives. The tracking for your courier didnt work, and you refused to help us when we asked.

It was returned back to you and now you say we need to pay Shipping (€37) and insurance (€15) again if we ever want to receive it. Your customer services said 'From our part, we have done our job correctly as we did send your parcel and it has arrived to your post office. It is up to the clients to track their parcel and up to your postal service to update you with delivery status. I am sorry I cannot help you further.'

Did it arrive at our local post office??? We were never told and the tracking didnt work - why wouldnt you help us? This is a warning to anyone thinking of ordering for international delivery.

Ta'Qali is advertised as a craft village. I wouldn't call it a village in the traditional sense, it is more a series of square blocks with well laid out and air con showrooms for the various crafts of Malta. There are gemstones and jewellery in one, pottery in another, glass a third and so on. Because the local busses no longer run directly here you have to either have a hire car, join a tour bus, get a taxi or walk about 1/2 a mile from the main road. This has left the craft traders a bit isolated, which is a shame. We watched the glass blowers and bought some lovely glass items. Worth the visit, but not in 35 degree heat and 85% humidity if you decide to walk from the bus. Walk in the winter, air con transport in the summer.

A massive factory and shop, everything is glass.
Really nice handcraft items, prices are okay (not too expensive), they also offer postal service to Europe for extra charge.

I have allergy for metal so I was looking for a bracelet with glass pieces but with 925 silver parts and they didn’t have anything like that, everything was with wire or stainless steel.

I love Mdina Glass and bought a beautiful but very expensive crystal vase. No care instructions were given and I put it on a window sill. The colours faded quickly and the vase has lost its beauty. I have been in touch with Mdina Glass on numerous occasions but they just ignore me. Very disappointing customer service

Incredible to see how simple glass was made into beautiful art. It was fascinating to witness how the colorful pieces were put together into so many different forms. You must visit the workshop where you can see the glass blowers do their work up close. It was a unique experience for the family. Staff were friendly and took the time to answer questions and show how it's done.

See the craftsmen work with glass and give form to it. Pretty hot in there, tiring job, but I hope fulfilling. One hall with slightly damaged pieces, and next to it the hall with the masterpieces. You choose what to select.

We went to the village of Ta’ Qali after visiting Mdina and Rabat where the craft activities of the area were concentrated. Years ago I bought us some nice glass. We visited a glass processing workshop and I must say they still had some nice items on display

I recently took a tour with my family but we couldn't find Mdina Glass. We found Valletta Glass in the arts and crafts village. We found some good buys at a discount. Is Mdina Glass still operating?

This shop is massive and has a huge collection of lovely items ranging from small to big. Had a good wonder around and saw the glass blowing which is crazy fast! Staff are nice as well.
Worth a visit to see the skilled craftsmen.
