About
Agathe Letellier took over the family farm more than 20 years ago, specialising it in cider-based production: the production and transformation of apples and pears. The farm’s 25 hectares of high stem orchards now enable the production of vinegar, pure apple juice, 3 varieties of cider, pommeau and a range of Calvados Pays d’Auge blends and pure apple brandies.

Visited this old apple cider vineyard as part of a tour group and was pleasantly surprised at the set up at the location where cider tasting food and tours are available.
The grounds and buildings are typically french and very old. Lots of other local tasting are also available at cellar door.

We came across this place completely by accident and are so happy we did. We hadn't had lunch and were thrilled to see they offered a picnic option. Lovely way to spend our afternoon. Kids ran around looking at cows, apple orchards, flowers...

We enjoyed our visit to Le Manoir d'Apreval last August and one of the excursions on our Uniworld River Cruise. Old apple trees mixed with new, all very well kept on this organic orchard. They produce Calvados, Pomme and Cider from the apples they grow. A surprise to me was that they had four categories of apples, bitter, bitter-sweet, tart and sweet. I've never had a bitter apple, although some very sour ones. Although we had had cider before, Pomme was new to us, a mixture of Calvados and cider, about 17.5 proof. After a tour of their production facility, much like touring a bourbon distillery in Kentucky, we sat down to a farm-style lunch with lots of salads made from farm fresh vegetables, roasted potatoes and pate, washed down with cider and Pomme, and finally a taste of their Calvados at the end and gingerbread. An enjoyable meal on a beautiful day. Highly recommend.

An impromptu stop here on the road out of Honfleur proved very enjoyable. The multi-lingual staff explained the various products and answered all my questions. After sampling several items, we bought a bottle and drank it on a picnic table outside. In addition to cider and calvados, also offers jams and other specialty foods.

The Nobel art Of fermenting apples is practiced here with a passion.
Its bio or organic too.
Lovely lady guided and served us and we bought a case of all we tried. A Perry and two types of Cidre.
Pommeau and Calvados as well, just some of the best Cidre we've ever tasted.

Just like visiting a winery, a calvados distillery is more active and interesting during harvest time. I probably would have enjoyed this tour better if it was in the fall during apple harvest. They did their best with pictures and a tour through the quiet distillery to explain the process of making calvados, which is not something that pleased my palate.
We had lunch there as part of a tour we were on and the meal was average at best.

Local cider and calvados production. Able to taste both outside with a nice view of the apple trees. Both cider and calvados and many other local treats can be bought in the shop! Worth visiting.

Direct sales from organic cider producers. Cider, Calvados, jellies and other products available at fair prices. Tastings are possible in the sales room, but a tour with tastings of drinks and regional food is also interesting (juice is available for the children).
