Punta Carnero looks inviting, but the back-wash can be very dangerous and I would not myself enter the water with the intention of swimming. If in the area go to the beaches at Salinas.

Not sure if it's a permanent ban or temporary. We rented a house for a month on the beach but may not be able to swim! Pretty though and quiet.

wide and sandy beach[not always safe for swimming] we like that its not crowded. If you don't have transportation you might have a hard time finding a restaurant/ if you do have a car it's just a short drive to Salinas or if you are...More
