Overview
More
The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is home to more than 80 beautiful and unusual owls and other birds of prey. Between Easter & September, we give three flying displays daily, each featuring different birds. There is also a woodland walk featuring red squirrels and "Meerkat Kastle", the home to our resident tribe of desert dwellers. Our picnic areas are scattered throughout the centre. Children are catered for with an inclusive play area, mini-maze, a free S.O.S. Safari activity with a gift for all young participants, and other games & activities. In addition we run a selection of falconry courses and photo days which allow great access to the birds - these are very popular with keen photographers. There is full wheelchair access to the Sanctuary throughout.

A strange place because it's stuck at the end of a retail outlet so on first glance it doesn't look promising. Once inside it's not that big, but there are a variety of large cages and tethered birds to wander around and a Meerkat enclosure...More

Went here with friends and their children. Was good value for money. Liked seeing all the birds and loved the red squirrels. Saw some of the bird show. The kids liked the stamp trail and the playground.

We took the family to the owl sanctuary and had a great day out. We had previously seen the bird show at the Suffolk Fair and that sparked our interest. Well worth a visit

First of all let me clarify that I love the owl sanctuary. So much so that I used to volunteer here before finding paid employment. However, on our last 2 visits (Christmas and Easter) we've had our visit somewhat spoilt by people walking around in...More

Admittedly, it's not a full day out, an hour at most if you take your time to look at everything, but this is reflected in the cheap admission prices. However, what a fantastic visit. Our family all enjoyed it so much, we have said we...More
