Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to the winery for the first time with friends and loved it. Fabian looked after us and was very helpful explaining the wines, tasting notes, etc. Large selection of wines and cider. We all sat outside on the patio sipping wine in a peaceful, lovely atmosphere. The staff was attentive while we sat outside as well. Good pricing for the wine.

Terrific Experience with Vieni Estates! Steve & Mackenzie at were a tremendous help! I called to order some wine glasses and other products for my mother for her birthday in December and Christmas. I needed the items shipped as I live far from Vieni Estates. Mackenzie replied to my request right away and was extremely helpful. Steve managed to get the package to me on time for my mother's birthday and Christmas. Even better, the glasses were securely wrapped and arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Steve and Mackenize for making this happen! Happy New Year!

Terrible customer service
Regularly I buy their maple infused brandy by the caseload.
Left a couple of EMPTY bottles outside & a couple of full bottles inside the car trunk.
The EMPTY bottles corks exploded out of the bottles as did the corks in the car trunk.
Thank God my grandkids were not near the empty bottles because it could have been a real medical problem.
I spoke to a clerk, a supposed wine maker & a supposed manager about the problems with their corks.
All three explanations went on deaf ears.
ZERO customer service.

Not great. The place was clean. Very few places to sit. The staff were not friendly. I guess it is okay if you have no where else to go

In the few months we have lived in the Niagara region, we have had the pleasure of exploring 20 or so of the more than 100 wineries in our area, and of those, so far at least, Vieni is our favourite. The winery itself -- and it's tasting room -- is in the process of expansion due to Vieni's well-deserved recognition for producing outstanding reds (some using the appassimento method) and several of the best sparkling wines in Ontario. But don't let the "under construction" appearance deter you. Once inside you will be greeted by knowledgeable members of the Vieni "family," who are justifiably proud of their outstanding wines and only to happy to share them with you. (If you're lucky, John will be available to walk you through Vieni's impressive range of wines along with a history of the winery and details on how each wine is produced and the grapes used. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his wine knowledge extensive.)
As I have written elsewhere, put those outdated ideas of inferior Canadian wines -- especially reds -- to bed. The Niagara wine scene -- really only about 40 years old -- is maturing rapidly, and wineries are learning how to work with grapes ignored in other areas, such as Cabernet Franc, and to get the best out of more conventional viniferas in this "cool climate" wine region. (Vieni uses the "appassimento" method -- drying the grapes before presssing -- for some of its premier reds and also produces a "ripasso" that is delicious and a real bargain.) Vieni is at the forefront of this wine revolution, producing such varietals as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Gamay Noir, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Pinot Meuniere on their 170 acre vineyard. (They also are the only winery in Canada to produce the Italian Aglianico grape, which goes into their 100% appassimento flagship red.)
I highly recommend Vieni for their outstanding wines, friendly atmosphere, lovely setting and knowledgeable staff.

If you are in the area, you really should visit Vieni Estates. Great experience, excellent wine. Steve gave us a tour of the facilities and a sample of the wines. He was so energetic and informative. We will be back!

A relatively new winery - Vieni Estates - has opened in the Niagara Peninsula that is certainly worth the visit if headed anywhere between Toronto and Niagara. In the last few years many new wineries have opened in the Niagara Peninsula and making a special wine tasting visit would be a satisfying experience.
I live in Niagara and have been to dozens of wineries and experienced the wines during tastings and other events. Wine Clubs are a great way to be informed and Steve DiMora, Tasting Room Manager at Vieni, will be happy to sign you up. On Victoria Day Monday the wine club event at Vieni was wine tasting accompanied by wood oven Pizza made in the vineyard, next to the Bed & Breakfast. Mauro, Oenologist - wine maker - was at the event helping explain the process of wine making.
In addition to an excellent Gamay Noir, I experienced a wine I had not ever had from a Canadian winery - Aglianico. It is a wonderfully full, ruby red wine. Bollicine is one of 3 sparkling wines they make. It was delightful.
When I travel to Italy I always have Grappa after dinner. I was very pleased to learn that Vieni is the only producer of the classic Italian spirit. They must by treaty call theirs Graspa. It had a nice fruity bouquet, was full of flavour, and finished very smoothly.
After a day of wine tasting stay in one of the 6 rooms in the B&B. We took the winery tour and asked to see the rooms in the B&B. It is very well appointed with great bathrooms and views of the vineyard. There is a set of 2 rooms that may be used for a family of 4. For special events they main floor of the B&B will accommodate 70.
The tour of the wine making facility, barrel room and bottling room was great but, the real treat was seeing the Graspa distillery room. The wine tasting was a pleasant experience. The room is small and very nicely appointed. The staff are more like friends showing off their newest wine while visiting.

Toni, Sara and Megan were great! They were very accommodating and easy to talk to. Stefano gave a funny guide of the operations in the back. As well, this estate is not stingy with the samples! Highly recommend, especially all of the whites and rose. The 2016 Riesling was dangerously easy to drink, very light, not dry at all.

We stopped by Sunday afternoon with friends and had a great time. John was our host/server and was fantastic. We tried several wines and there was not a bad one in the bunch! We are not red wine drinkers but they were very good too. We even tried a couple of the grappas. Great place, great wines, awesome staff. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
