Great park, fantastic walks but do you really want to pay £2 to park there for the first hour. There is some blurb about how the funds raised (by parking) goes to the running of the parks. If there is concern over fundraising than a...More

This pleasant wooded country park has a handy largish parking area and the park offers a nice location for a country walk. Although near the centre of Danbury, it feels really rural. Nice place to take the family.

Lovely little country park! Not the largest we've been to but we still did 12,000 steps in 2 hours of wandering about! Loved the lakes and the nature. Paths werent too bad, seen worse. Car parking was plenty and not badly priced Will return!

This is all that remains of a once extensive estate around Danbury Palace. The walks around the lakes are pleasant but not extesnive. It is the busiest country park in the county and it shows with the heaviliy used paths.

Not really good for wheelchairs as some of the paths are not even.

We saw dogs running free and I am sure I did not see any dogs on lead signs where we walked. It may be best to keep leads on near the lakes if they are prone to chasing ducks, particularly in the Spring. hope this helps.
