Quite a distance away from Chiang Mai, about 50 minutes. Golf resort has a somehow neglected impression, the best years of the resort seem to be long gone. Restaurant empty, no other guests. Facilities worn, need renovation. Very old golf carts, our cart even had...More

I would have like to play Royal Chiang Mai in the days when "Royal" meant Royal. It is a magnificent course and the whole atmosphere would have been fantastic. It is till really good and the course is just soooo playable.

Firstly let’s start with a joke... what’s the connection between the fairway at RCM and my 3i? They both go “CLUNK” when you bang them together! Honestly, the fairways are like concrete. Anyway, I have played this course over 20 times in the last six...More

Played Royal Chiang Mai yesterday, nice course in great condition, unfortunately they were coring and sanding the greens, not all were done when I went thru. Word of warning, carry cash as minimum spend for card is 500 Baht, and only cash on the course....More

Nice golf course. Caddies are professional. There is only one restaurant in the resort. Fortunately the food and price are not bad. Resort / Bedroom is a bit old but clean and tidy. Location is a problem. Distance to everything.

I recently travelled with three golf buddies to try out the courses in Chiang Mai. I've golfed in Thailand maybe 6 previous trips, starting in 2003 and mainly around Hua Hin, but this was my first time north of Bangkok. So in the space of...More

The green fees at Royal Chiangmai are about 30% of the nice courses in Chiang Mai. The fairways and greens are in great condition. It is a bit of a drive north of Chiang Mai but well worth the trip.

I regularly play RCM, mainly because of the way the course is run. It is a bit out of town, but the Starters, Caddies and Green Keepers are a breathe of fresh air compared to some other courses I could mention. The course is immaculate...More

I like the golf course there, quite challenging! The caddy is friendly and caring. They do have night golf as well. The waitress at the café can understand English too. It takes a long time food to be served.

I have played this course with my family. We have rented set, which are of sufficient quality. Caddies provided good guidance while playing. One daughter stayed at the swimming pool in the hotel on the resort. The pool was very hot and the gym /...More
