10 kilometers from the main highway, 184 steps going up to the cave but it was worth the sweat seeing this natural wonder. This is a must place to see when visiting Cagayan especially for the adventurous ones. There's a chapel inside the cave and a lot of picture perfect spots from the first up to the 5th chamber of... I suggest that you plan a day out for this to include a river outing. Getting to this place from Tuguegarao is quite expensive, but if you can get a van and share it with four or more people you can spread out the expense. More on this later. The cave cost P20 per head and includes a guide. I... More

We visted Palaui Island last weekend and went to callao cave prior going to sta ana. This is like 40 mins away from Tuguegarao airport via Tricycle or 15-20 mina via Van. There's an entrance fee of 20 php for a tip for tour guide for any amount. before you reach the cave, you have to finish the almost 300... More

Going here, you will need to either have your own vehicle or hire a tricycle for a roundtrip. There is a fee for the upkeep of the place. There is a bit of a stair climb. Be careful of the steps though specially if you visit during rainy season because some areas are muddy. There is a church inside the... More

We went there around 8am the place is still dark, go there around lunch time or in the afternoon.. though its dark you can still see its magnificent structure.. We had fun taking lots of pictures as we are the people on that time.. =) the river was flawless.. it gives a calm vibe while it reflects the sky.. #fantastic

Outside, it looks like an ordinary cave. But upon entering and completing the whole tour around the place, I have felt inner peace. The place is dark inside yet because of the light coming from the holes above, the place looks more dramatic.

Is a dead cave, however the light coming from the ceiling and the formation, makes it a very relaxing and peaceful place. It's a easy easy cave. There are some steps to reach it, but it worth. The guides are very good as well !

One of the protected areas in the Philippines. Aside from the cave, one can enjoy the clear waters of the river adjacent with the Callao Cave. There is an altar where one can solemnly pray....

the view is worth it. 184 steps is not easy for unfit people and I am one of them. but the view itself is beautiful that you won't regret climbing 184 steps. It's not that steep and you can rest at the 92nd step and take photos. Also, our very young guide (only 13 y/o) is well trained and entertained... More
