This was an amazing hike, if you want to call it this on a hot day!! Although it is a long walk, you can always get a Trollcar, almost to the glacier, it was such an amazing site. On the walk there, you pass the...More
We had not booked a tour for Olden through our cruise company so walked off the ship and there were so many different tours to choose from but the rate and timing of this one was the best. We got on the top of the...More
Visited here on a cruise with family. Took bus trip which also included boat trip along lake. Plenty of stops by bus with photo opps including a short 10 min walk to glacier. Not the biggest glacier in the world but trip very worthwhile.

You only the the glacier from a very far distance across the last lake in the Fjord.
The red bus was rattling a lot, but English commentary (which we we lucky to hear) was interesting.
The trip itself though is great. Beautiful views. Try and...More

No the open top bus we got doesn't go to the Briksdal glacier. The open top bus is not affiliated to the cruise company we went with either (P&O). We just got on it and paid the bus driver. They draw up right alongside where the ship docks. It goes along the valley bottom basically to a viewpoint. It is a 1 hour round trip The price was 250k each (about £25). Some people on our cruise did the troll car. It depends on how long your ship is docked for. I don't know if there would be time to do both. Have a good trip!
