Open Top Sightseeing of the Olden Valley. Approximately one hour sightseeing of the stunning scenery along the Olden Lake. There is a photo stop by the olden lake 12 km from town center where several glacier arms from the Jostedal Glacier can be spotted. Enjoy the scenery of untouched nature and high rising mountains on your return back to the ship. Many examples of traditional building technique.

You only the the glacier from a very far distance across the last lake in the Fjord. The red bus was rattling a lot, but English commentary (which we we lucky to hear) was interesting. The trip itself though is great. Beautiful views. Try and...More

The bus is situated by the port, clean and well organised. No need for headphones as audio information is given. We didn’t go to the glacier but stopped by a pretty lake. This trip was very pleasant.

We hopped onto this open top bus off our cruise ship. I would recommend sitting on top as the views are great. It was £25 each for an hour trip which is about standard Norway price we thought. The journey takes you along the valley...More

Yes it’s a double decker bus that says glacier on the side , I could not hear the talking guide and the view points I walked to in the afternoon, we never did see the glacier as the fog was down, more ideal for older...More

We went to Briksdal Glacier on a trip with our P & O cruise ship. The tour stopped on the way for a photo opportunity beside a lake. We arrived at the entrance and it was about a 45 minute walk to the glacier; although...More

This is a place you can get a bus to visit the glaciers or if you like an independent walk the town centre is a 10 minute walk from the port entrance. Scenery is beautiful and like everything in Norway 🇳🇴 it's expensive to shop....More

We booked a visit to the glacier, paying the extra to take the Troll Car. The glacier was interesting and having been there in the 1980's you can see the impact of global warming as it has retreated away from the lake. It was a...More

As usual we didn't book a trip off cruise ship (so expensive and not flexible ) AS soon as we got off we booked the glacier bus which was a nice scenic drive up and gave us about 2.5 hours there. Plenty of time to...More

Absolutely beautiful, our favourite place on our cruise to the Fiords. We went on a bus trip because the tours from the ship are quite expensive.

No the open top bus we got doesn't go to the Briksdal glacier. The open top bus is not affiliated to the cruise company we went with either (P&O). We just got on it and paid the bus driver. They draw up right alongside where... More
