Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having travelled in two cars for lunch down the Gong, we picked the lookout to rendezvous before going on. Really glad we did as it has been years since I was last here. A beautiful sunny & windy day guaranteed a fantastic view and you can see for miles from up there! A good spot also for a picnic lunch with facilities, shelters, cafe & the great view a plus. Sadly the old track down to the bottom is closed and with landslips it looks like it won't re-open any time soon?

Great Views from Panorama House over the Southern Illawarra. Short drive from Wollongong and the views are always stunning when the weather is sunny. Ideal to walk around and get good photo opportunities.

This is some spectacular view over the Wollongong area and the coastline. On a recent visit to this area, we visited the Sublime Point Lookout. This is the first time we have done so and, wow, what a view! Certainly worth the effort to turn off the highway and view this spectacular knock-out view. There are great photo opportunities here.

The lookout is wonderful but its just as good if not better down the road at the Gateway Centre.
The walking track is not easy but it is a good experience. Just be aware that parking at the bottom is somewhat limited. Also the track gets very busy on weekends which when added to the narrowness makes it a bit of pain on busy days. Go weekday, go early or go late.

worth a stop here if you wont to go for a break or for a snack or toilet stop. the view is amazing, there are quite a few parking sports available. it can get really busy when groups of tours stop here.

We walked the Sublime Point Track with our 3 children to the lookout. The view was pretty good considering it was the wettest 4 days in 30 years! Would love to come back on a clear day. The hike up is not for the unfit!!

If visiting Sydney, Sublime Point is recommended. It has a magnificent & breathtaking view of Bulli and Wollonggong. There's a cafe to relax and simply enjoy the surroundings. The area is pet friendly; however there's restrictions when going on a trek. The place is big enough for a family picnic and ample room for children to run around. Toilet facilities available. Parking is free. Area is wheelchair & pram accessible.

Visited this spot on an overcast winters day which didn't do the views justice. Lots of overseas visitors and families taking photos.
There is a cafe at the lookout and we stepped inside with the intention of buying a coffee but it seemed musty and in need of a makeover but I expect in its day, would have been more than impressive.
There is a picnic area too with shelters but each time I've been there I haven't seen anybody using the BBQ.s or facilities...shame as it's a great spot.
Ample parking and well worth the visit.

This lookout is a must do if you are travelling between Sydney and Wollongong.
The views are spectacular and there are barbeque and picnic facilities along with a cafe.
We recently went on a day trip to the Wollongong area via Sublime Point Lookout and back via the Sea Cliff Bridge and Stanwell Tops, followed by lunch at Tradies Club at Helensburgh.
An enjoyable day out.

You can get the most spectacular photos of the coast from here and is always worth taking the old Pacific Highway to visit

Hi Chris,
There are two options:
1. Via car on Old Princes Highway near Bulli Pass.
OR
2. Climb from Foothills Road located near Austinmer Rail Station, Wollongong.
Enjoy the view.
