Belsay Castle is an English Heritage property. This is a beautiful place. Had a lovely day here. Coffee shop, gift shop, easy walking, beautiful flowers, obviously better visited in spring/ summer to get the best of the flowers

Visiting Belsay Hall you are invited to walk through the quarry gardens to visit the older castle buildings. Its well worth the effort! Largely ruined castle with added wings but great to explore and the quarry gardens are amazing.

Went during easter with my family, great value place to visit, the guides in the shop were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, the gardens were lovely and the house very very interesting. I would most definitely visit again even if just to walk the dogs.

Super location to explore on a nice day. Lots to see, rarely gets too crowded, plenty of interest for history buffs and a nice coffee shop at the end. Recommended by me, a visitor on many occasions.
