I wasn't sure I wanted to see a Georgian house empty of furniture but was so glad we went. Because there was no furniture you can appreciate the Grecian architecture better. As the owner didn't want external guttering and downspouts to spoil the look of...More

I love this place though admittedly we have English heritage membership otherwise could get pricey for a family. The gardens are so peaceful you cant hear any traffic and get even better in the summer. Love the castle. Spent some good days here with kids...More

We so enjoyed our trip to 'Enchanted Belsay' Strolling through the illuminated grounds in the rain was a wonderful experience. All the kids we saw were so thrilled and excited which was lovely to see. What really made the visit though was the staff and...More

First of all, the organisation of the timed tickets and the park and ride is fantastic. The staff were helpful and friendly, dont get me wrong we had a nice time but...... For the price we did expect a little bit more. The lights are...More

Parking well organised & all the staff very pleasant and helpful but that’s about all to be remotely impressed with. Very disappointing. Lights which are rather underwhelming, the “fair” (2 rides , 2 stalls) was for toddlers. Extremely over priced non event for a family....More

Well organised approach. The shuttle bus park and ride from Ponteland worked well for us. We had the perfect weather for this event. Cold and crisp. Staff are on hand at the entrance to ensure you know where you're going, but although it is in...More

Just got back from Enchanted Belsay and I think it’s better for young children and their families. We were left a little underwhelmed by the lights..... it’s a lot of fairy lights in trees. Quite pretty and a nice walk but wouldn’t book again. Walked...More

No, but I would argue you don't need one with the long walks, wife paths, trees and wide open spaces.

We didn't find one. But there are lots of open spaces to run round. The castle bit is half a mile from the hall. That is great for hide & seek !

Yes . You can catch a bus from Eldon Square Bus Station to Jedburgh which only runs a few times a day, not sure of the number. The bus stops at Belsay then you'd walk to the Hall grounds or get a lift.
