Enjoyed the Steam Fest during the March long-weekend
Mar. 2021
We purchased our tickets on-line that includes the Covid-19 tracking registration. Easy on site parking and efficient ticket checking using the QR code.
Various steam engines large and small were in action displayed in the Arena. We visited each shed displaying various vintage machinery in action. Many helpful volunteers from the Steam Engine club were available to answer questions. At the back between he sheds and the lake several vintage oil engines and vintage cars were displayed.

March long weekend festival
Mar. 2018 • Family
March long weekend is their big steam festival. All the shed are open, filled with working models and passionate volunteers.

Public transport to this venue doesn't exist, drive your car, plenty of space on the grass field and parking helpers.

Tickets are at the door, both cash and EFTPOS.

Wear flat shoes, it's cut grass, gravel tracks.

No steps into the sheds, great for walkers, pushers, wheelchair and scooters.

Plenty of permanent seating and toilets on site.

Festival weekend has food vendors and live music.

Great atmosphere and 2018 is their 50th anniversary.

A must for steam engine afficinados
Mar. 2017 • Family
This warehouse holds a collection of restored steam engines of all sizes and purposes.

I went on their big open day where everything is operational and volunteers are there to answer questions about the engines on display. Old steam rollers; engines of all types are chugging away, belching steam and creating a lot of noise. It's a step back in time to see these operational.

For young children, there's a mini diesel-engine that pulls a series of carriages around the boundary of the land. The price was only a few dollars for two circuits of the property and it was a highlight for my son (2yo). He wasn't so engrossed in the larger engines inside (they're definitely aimed at an older audience (5+)).

If you are looking for somewhere different to take the kids, check this out. They have regular family days and the kids. An get rides on the steam engines.
Dads love this place, it's like big boys toys to them, family days offer sausage sizzles and it's all run by volunteers
