We chose Chateau de la Roche-Courbon for our wedding venue and it did not disappoint. The venue is simply stunning with plenty of space to cater for all our needs. The gardens were pristine and made the perfect garden party for well over 100 guests. At night the Chateau lights up in every sense creating a dramatic yet intimate ambiance... More

It was a gorgeous sunny day and the gardens were a delight to walk around. The château isn't the most amazing I have ever visited but it's full of history and we really enjoyed our day there. Just be careful if you do not speak much French as the tours out of season are all in French. They give you... More

Chateau is near rochefort. Well worth a visit. Ticket price included 45 min tour (in English) very informative. Gardens are stunning and caves worth a visit. Very reasonably priced.

There are other chateau’s that are much nicer, cosier if you will. The leaflet makes this place look amazing but on a rather cold spring day it failed to hit the mark. The gardens are expansive yet bare of plants, they were sparse. That may be a true reflection on how they originally appeared but I still felt rather let... More

We have visited castles and chateaus all over Europe and I think this is the worst we have ever seen. It is referred to as “Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.” Sleeping Beauty must have run screaming from this place! The chateau was built around 1475. The grounds and gardens are pretty. The inside, where you are NOT allowed to take photos is... More

Beautiful palace, awesome gardens and cool caves few hundred yards down the road. Perfect trip for a family with kids. I wish there was a cafe on site - but that's just me being fussy. Worth a visit. Tickets - €12 per adult. Kids under seven go free.

This chateau and its gardens are impeccably maintained and well worth a visit, but don't go if it's hot and sunny or you will melt! The chateau has guided tours in various languages and is interesting even if you are not interested in French history. There are also some caves a short walk away that youngsters lie exploring!
