A slightly more local experience compared to Cicada
This was well worth the trip out. Love the local vibes! Granted, there were still quite a bit of tourists, but there were way more locals, so you know you're in the right place! Many food stalls were available, from sweet to savoury, finger food to whole meals, very few duplicates, so you can try as many items as you like. Seating is also ample, I reached at around 6.15pm and had no trouble finding a seat, but as I hung around longer, the place become more and more crowded and tables filled fast. I found the price here reasonable too, probably not as cheap as if you ate at a random street stall but good enough for a night market. Loved the experience and will recommend.

    Value for Money
Tamarind Market is the value for money option, when you’re just in it for the food. Also: People seemed a bit more cheerful. I would estimate the advantage compared to Cicada Market at about 20%. That being said, many dishes are said for 100 baht at time of writing. I recommend the fresh coconut ice cream, which was better than at Cicada.

My favorite market in Hua Hin
The market opens only from Thursday to Sunday in a week. It not only offers a variety of foods to choose but also a music band. It is also located next to Cicada Night market. You can visit both at the same time. There is also a parking area but you have to pay 50 baht to park your car. That isn't cool because we are there to spend on food.

    Great food market
We got a tuk tuk from Hua Hin clocktower and price varied 150 to 200 TB. Market very well laid out with very reasonable beer and wine . Food stalls were very good and very clean and tidy. The live singers are good and play a mixture of western and Thai covers. System is simple, walk round, get a table and then order food. We did a dish at a time but got to try all sorts. Most were 100 TB. A very reasonably priced night out.

    Great food, great prices
Tamarind market is definitely the better of the 2 markets. Tamarind runs Thursday, fri, Saturday & Sunday 4-11pm. Great selection food & drinks at very low prices. Low prices however doesn’t equate to low quality though. Thursday night was the least busy - so easy to get a table & not have to queue for food. There was live music too & a really good atmosphere. Good for families too. Definitely worth a visit.

Of course we have been here too, but not again next year. It was nice to be back again. Location is far from the center. You can reach it by public transport for 25 bath or "taxi apps" 120-150 bath. Food is not really that tasty and just too expensive. We ate 3 dishes and 2 drinks. Maybe it's because of the rent the shops have to pay, I don't know. But we only stayed here for 1 hour or so. What's nice is that you can enjoy those snacks and drinks with live music, if you can find a place to sit.

It was very busy when we went. It's a food and beverage market (right next to the Cicada art and craft market), but much busier. It seems most people come here to eat the local (and western food). But it was absolutely packed even though this is meant to be low season. There were not tables available so we decided to go somewhere else instead.
