- Maratom64Germany1,898 contributionsVery large selection of food stallsThe selection of food stalls is much larger than in the Cicada Market right next door. Mainly Thai/Asian food is offered, but also burgers and pizza. The market is only open Friday to Sunday. The food looked very appetizing and clean everywhere.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 February 2024
- BortjeckValkenburg, The Netherlands3,722 contributionsGreat atmosphereCome here for dinner a few times in the evening. Busy market with lots of choice of food and drinks or other tasty treats. Prices are ok . Freshly prepared and you can eat there or take away. I can recommend this market to everyone. Smoking is not allowed on the market.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 March 2024

- AzRatArizona2,297 contributionsGreat weekend night marketJune - 2024. Visited this weekend night market on while staying at nearby (100 meters walk) from the Hyatt Regency Hua Hin. Nice experience with plenty of food stall options, souvenirs, clothing, etc. Best part for me was chilling to the live music. Geared for tourists and priced accordingly of course - but many locals visit for the entertainment and food. Open THU,FRI,SAT,SUN 1800-2300 hours, free admission, plenty of seating. Very similar to my review for nearby Cicaca Market.Visited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 22 July 2024
- TobyZurich, Switzerland35 contributionsBring tissues, small baht 100 notes, buy fruit first as sells out, homemade coconut ice cream delicious!Fresh home made Coconut ice cream the best! Freshly cooked meat skewers, pad thai and Taiwanese Bao Buns were delicious. The fruit is very fresh and sells out very fast! Bring 100THB notes for convenience and your own tissues as serviettes! Tables are emptied and cleaned as people finish up. Lots to choose from.Visited December 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 December 2024
- eejCottam, United Kingdom165 contributionsEasy tasty street food at good pricesSo glad this place opened additional days over Christmas and New Year, meant we could go more. Well priced beers and excellent food of every cuisine seemed to be available. It’s a friendly, busy, bustling place and great to sit and watch the world go by with a few drinks and snacks. An easy option to start your Thai street food adventure. Wish it was open every night but Thursday to Sunday is good enough. Highlights were mussel omelettes, chicken kebabs, anything on a stick, papaya/mango salads, mashed potato and khanom krok (little coconut custard puddings). The beer guy in the centre of the market was great as was the cocktail place next door. Go, enjoy, eat, drink and enjoy the atmosphere and musicVisited January 2025Travelled with friendsWritten 5 January 2025

The Tamarind Market in Hua Hin is about 200m behind the Cicada Night Market, about 500m from my hotel Ibis Hua Hin, and was easy to reach on foot in the evening. Like the Cicada Night Market, it is only open on weekends from Fri to Sun from about 5pm to 11pm and is a night market in the open air in a park-like area.
Note: Public holidays that are directly adjacent to the weekend can mean additional opening days!
The focus here is more on food and drinks, also more on Thai and Asian specialties, as well as musical entertainment. Therefore, there are lots of places to sit here.
There are of course also stalls with artists and souvenirs. The price level is much cheaper here compared to the neighboring Cicada Night Market.
Since there is a very large selection, you should first take a walk around before trying to book a table for your group so that you can then buy specific food and drinks.
I also liked this night market.

We got a tuk tuk from Hua Hin clocktower and price varied 150 to 200 TB.
Market very well laid out with very reasonable beer and wine . Food stalls were very good and very clean and tidy.
The live singers are good and play a mixture of western and Thai covers.
System is simple, walk round, get a table and then order food. We did a dish at a time but got to try all sorts. Most were 100 TB. A very reasonably priced night out.

Quaint market with tons of delicious food options! There are a couple of clothing shops but it’s 90% food. The prices are super cheap for various smoothies, mango & sticky rice, pad Thai, roti and other typical foods. It has a very talented Thai singer on stage singing for s couple of hours too. Definitely a must-see!

Tamarind market is definitely the better of the 2 markets. Tamarind runs Thursday, fri, Saturday & Sunday 4-11pm. Great selection food & drinks at very low prices. Low prices however doesn’t equate to low quality though. Thursday night was the least busy - so easy to get a table & not have to queue for food. There was live music too & a really good atmosphere. Good for families too. Definitely worth a visit.

Next to the Cicada Market is the Tamarind Market. Also great for eating well, drinking good cocktails and being entertained with live music. Also always from Friday to Sunday. In the run-up to Christmas it is from Thursday to Sunday. We spent two weekends here and had a great time, had a wonderful meal and all at very fair prices.

Busy local market mainly food and drink, loads of choice, suit all the family, plenty of seating although we visted twice the sunday was very busy. Lovely atmosphere chilled live music, mainly English speaking songs.
Good prices, on appearance its not particularly attractive looking, but don't let that put you off - visit!
I have seen comparisons to the Cicada market down the road, which is more esthetically appealingly larger and much more space, I visited both and would again, the food choices on taste, price and quality was equal, much more non food shopping options at the Cicada one.

Fantastic night food market in Hua Hin. A variety of food vendors are set up 0 around the outside with a couple of bars and a stage with live music playing thai and english songs. The food was great and you can pick what you like and eat it at one of the tables in the middle. Everything from fresh seafood to grilled meats and even pizza and burgers for boring people. Wash it all down with a big mug of cold beer.

We always enjoy our supper here as the stall holders are cooking their own specialities, and is clean and served with a smile.
Good choice of drinks served chilled but the wine on offer is very overpriced for the quality offered.
We have started to bring our own cutlery !paper napkins and plates to help in the fight against plastic ,otherwise your dining experience can end up with lots of plastic trash that is unnecessary,
If the venders offered their patrons a small discount to those who bring their own plates etc it would make for a better evening out

The market opens only from Thursday to Sunday in a week. It not only offers a variety of foods to choose but also a music band. It is also located next to Cicada Night market. You can visit both at the same time. There is also a parking area but you have to pay 50 baht to park your car. That isn't cool because we are there to spend on food.

Of course we have been here too, but not again next year. It was nice to be back again. Location is far from the center. You can reach it by public transport for 25 bath or "taxi apps" 120-150 bath. Food is not really that tasty and just too expensive. We ate 3 dishes and 2 drinks. Maybe it's because of the rent the shops have to pay, I don't know. But we only stayed here for 1 hour or so. What's nice is that you can enjoy those snacks and drinks with live music, if you can find a place to sit.

I am here now. I would like to go in the day tomorrow or evening. Will it be open? We drove past it in the weekday afternoon and it looks empty, nothing going on at all. Can someone let me know ASAP please! Thank you so much!

Thank you!

Thursday through Sunday. Definitely open on Friday from about 5PM if I remember correctly. Easy to amble between Tamarind and Cicada marekts - side by side, but I found Tamarind better for food.
Enjoy - it is nice
