We did the koala feeding experience. Staff was so kind and patient with kids. It was super neat being close to the koalas and feeding them. Very cool to feed the kangaroos and wallabies as well. The scone and coffee with the experience were great. The mini golf was fun and had some unique holes! Highly recommend!

Fantastic park. Got to see all the key australian animals - kangaroos, wallabies, koolas, kookaburra, emus, tasmanian devil, dingos among many others. All well looked after and acts as animal hospital too.

The animal park section was great. We spent a couple of hours feeding the kangaroos and getting up close to the animals. There was a good variety of Australian animals, our favorites were the Tassie Devils, wallabies and the quoll.
The Pirate mini golf section of the park was a huge let down. We visited maybe 6 or 7 years ago and it was awesome. Now most of the interactive elements of the course have rotted away and not been maintained. The waterfall wasn’t working. The pirate ship has been totally removed, the windmill didn’t work, the pirate statutes and the giant shark statue were falling apart. So sad as I remember it fondly. Hopefully it will get an upgrade and repaired soon.

We stopped in for a game of mini golf with our 3 year old. We spent an hour and a half going round and we all enjoyed ourselves. There's a good mix of easy and challenging holes. It's a good spot to stop on the way back from Phillip Island.

The kids loved getting up close and personal with the kangaroos and koalas! Great experience for the whole family to enjoy. The park keepers and staff were also very friendly and the keeper talks were engaging and informative. We had a lovely time!

The park is small but nice. We manage to catch the talk on the koala which was interesting and informative. We waited for the kangaroo talk but it never happened . Feeding of the kangaroos was good with quite a number of them in the enclosure.
We happen to be in the enclosure when the gliders we being fed which was kind of interesting.
We ended the visit with some mini golf which was lots of fun!

I loved petting the koalas and feeding the wallabies and kangaroos! It costs extra for the up-close animal experiences, but worth it for me. My guide was full of fascinating knowledge. The entire park does a great job exhibiting their animals. They even have plexiglass to see the wombats sleeping in dens and sinks for the sole purpose of cleaning your hands after feedings.

My partner and I had a fantastic morning at Maru over the weekend. We were well looked after by the staff for our Koala feeding who very much allowed us with as much time as we wanted to interact with each of the koalas. Well worth the money and was the perfect birthday gift for partner who is obsessed with Australian animals. Thanks so much for a memorable experience!

Hi, We have 6 adults here. Would like to know whether online purchase in advance cost AUD15/pax and it is cheaper than purchase at the entrance which cost AUD20/pax?
Any special terms and conditions which I should aware for online purchase?
MaruKoalaPark
Grantville, Australia7 contributions
Hello candle_ha
If you have found an online site that sells our tickets for only $15 then you are onto a bargain as entry is $20AUD/adult for the Animal Park. From our Maru website we offer 6 months to use your online purchased tickets, but from any other websites I recommend you check their own terms and conditions. We look forward to seeing you at Maru soon.

How far to O,Connell Street in city centre and best and easiest transport to use ie bus or taxi. Is the hop off hop on tour bus easy to join from hotel. Thank you for any info.

I am afraid if you are thinking from o;connell street Melbourne it is about a two hour drive so you need to hire a car however, on the maru home page it does give a link for transport to get there. . The transport in the Gippsland area is few and far between so plan you travel carefully. You could very easily fill your day if you wanted to take in Phillip island as well lots to do and see or better still make a weekend of it. I know there are tour buses which go to the island but am unsure how they function. Hope this helps
