- Noelle MCounty Dublin, Ireland10 contributionsDunfanaghy gift, interiors, clothing emporium - a real delightWas told about this shop in lovely Dunfanaghy and oh boy, it didn't disappoint. It calls itself a craft shop but it's so much more - I'd call it an interiors, clothing and gifting emporium. Better than Kilkenny Design and Avoca, it has a big emphasis on Irish brands (see Mindy Brownes trays I purchased in the photo) and craftsmanship but international too. You could spend hours in here (two big floors) and we did, taking a break for coffee across the road. Helpful, non-pushy staff. Christmas 2024 is now sorted - see a sample of the stuff I bought, now back home in London. Love McAuliffe's and will be return later this year.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 April 2024
- Shirley M3 contributionsWonderful, immersive experience at McAuliffe's Craft ShopWhat a wonderful discovery! Walking into McAuliffe's was so much more than entering another store. It was evident immediately that this was more of an immersive experience - staff so lovely and discreet - not following me around! From the scents, to the background music and then to the wonderful array of top Irish products. It seemed like every county was represented in the inventory - every price point as well. I bought gifts ranging from 12 euro to 350 euro (that one was for myself!) to bring back to my family and friends in Chevy Chase MD. I loved Avoca and Kilkenny Design, but McAuliffe's seemed to be more curated with a wider variety. Bought a lovely Nicholas Mosse bowl at The Gallery too. Thank you Dunfanaghy and McAuliffe'sVisited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 14 April 2024
- Brian B1 contributionDiffused the problem (excuse the pun)I had purchased a diffuser that was boxed up and labelled. When I got the item home it turned out to be wrong. It was a diffuser which was of no great value really. The scent I was looking for was absolutely lovely when I smelt it in the shop. However I got it home and it was a completely different scent in the box (and although nice in itself, wasn’t the one I had purchased) . I sent an email to the shop and it was picked up by Conor. He located a box of the scent we were looking for and is posting it out to us. The diffuser price was €10. Not a lot of money, but the fact he’s went to the trouble of posting one out to me, the gesture is priceless. They’ll get my business every time I return to Dunfanaghy to surf.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 July 2024

Hi Maria. Thank you for your lovely comments about our shop, and for taking the time to review us. We source and handpick all our products, so we were delighted that you liked the stock we carry. Customer service is also extremely important to us, so thank you also for your kind comments regarding our staff. We will be opening a new retail space upstairs in July which will provide a bit of a different product offering, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Thanks again, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the shop again soon.
