Visted with my family (kids 8 & 6yrs) everyone had a fantastic time. Beautiful walks. Kids loved the play area. We thought the entrance fee of €25 for a family of 4 was expensive but it was well worth it. You could spend all day here. Nice cafe or bring a picnic.

We visited with a family group ranging from 1 year old to 90 years old. It had something for everyone. We had lovely coffee in the playground while the kids played, the playground is very impressive with the pillow and tree house. The grounds are beautiful to walk around but we decided to also take the horses around with declan.... More

Easter Monday was our first visit to Birr Castle. We went with two kids (6 & 4). The grounds are lovely and it's nice to walk around and chill out. The formal gardens are beautiful and say they'll be even more so in the summer. My kids absolutely loved the playground. The treehouse is amazing but their highlight was the... More

The weather was very conducive for walking and as my family was visiting from England we knew they would love this attraction with a young baby of eight months visiting. The blossoms were all out and when we got down to the lake a beautiful swan came cklose to us and made... More

Visited with 2 boys aged 3&5. They loved the play area especially the trampoline. We also got great enjoyment from exploring the area near the castle.

We visited this place twice. It is a perfect place to take kids for a nice walk in a beautiful nature along some activities such as sliding, swinging, climbing, etc. It's good and worth visiting for adults too, we took friends that are visiting Ireland for the first time and they were quite impressed. The giant telescope and the tour... More
