After visiting Bunratty Castle and Village we saw a sign for the winery so we decided to visit it thinking it would show wine and mead making. It did not. Was just a shop and gift store in an old farm building. Picked up a...More

They sell the mead in the gift shop at the castle and in the bar at Durty Nellys. They need to remove the sign up the hill... It's decent but served warm.

It`s not like you see how they make the mead and potcheen. This is a nice little shop that you can learn about the history and buy a bottle, if you would like one while you`re in Ireland. If you`re an American, you can easily...More

I wasn't very impressed with this winery. The people were nice but there wasn't much to the place. You can pick up their products for the same price in many of the tourist attractions. Stop in if you've never tasted mead. Otherwise don't go out...More

It's NOT a winery tour like you would think. You don't see it being made or the behind the scenes workings but, you do get to taste the two wines that they do produce on the grounds.
