One of the most glorious spots ever. Like so many of the best places in Donegal, it takes a little finding but I was blown away by it. The beach is so unspoiled, so big, the sand incredible, the waterfall cascading into a blue pool...More

This little jaunt is not for the faint of heart. It's about 20 minutes ride, straight west out of Ardara to a parking area with a family-owned looking booth. A young kid took a few bucks to allow us to park. A beautiful waterfall called...More

We went here on a windy September day with a toddler. Bit of a walk to the beach, the dunes were great for sheltering us from the breeze, I can imagine it would be fantastic on a good day!

We loved this place, despite arriving in driving mist. Maghera Beach and Caves is off the beaten track and certainly the road to it from the direction of Adara is one less frequented. And the road leading to Crockuna offers some spectacular views (particularly looking...More

Lovely sand, quite secluded and not that easy to find, worth it. Tide does come in faster than you'd expect, we had to paddle to shore!

Dip your feet in the cool clear water of this huge beach with miles of soft sand and the odd cave to investigate. Combine with Assaranca waterfall and the folk village. There is a charge for the car park of €3 and 50 cents for...More

There were some boardwalk-type walks that got you out through the dunes, but to actually get out over the dunes and to the caves, it is all heavy sand. Depending on the time of day if you are able to get over the dunes, the... More

There is a parking lot at these coordinates: 54.762501, -8.527440 From there, walk up the road toward a lone farm house. When you get there, there will be a gate to your right. That is the entrance to the beach.
