Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful walk with great views. Be warned, however, that the County Council have installed formidable barriers due to a rockfall almost a year ago. The impossibility of walking the path is clearly identified from the Northern (Bray) end, but NOT from the Southern (Greystones end.
There are two minor fences heading up from Greystones which have been circumvented - clearly by many hundreds of trekkers.
There are then two formidable fences cutting off the mid section of the path. Clearly the rockfalls have been removed and preventive work appears to be complete, but the path has not yet been re-opened.

Strong advice is NOT to attempt to circumvent the big fences - they are a bit of a technical climb which would prove easy for any reasonably skilled burglar, but not for ordinary decent people.

The trail was technically closed but our waiter at lunch told us it happens frequently and it was fine to walk. He was right and it was gorgeous. You do have to hop some gates but for those active and adventurous folks definitely do it!

Still there are beautiful views and you can walk about 1/4 mile. Then walk down the hill to the beach and it’s a lovely place to go and have ice cream and people watch and watch the boats.

The Bray head Cliff Walk has much to offer!

The hike up to the cross is quite steep, but it definitely is worth the sweat. Behind the cross the path continues in lovely landskapes that look quite similar to alpine pastures. The only difficulty is getting to Greystones, as the lower cliff walk is closed due to a rockslide.

Unfortunately, due to rock falls, the Bray to Greystones cliff walk is completely closed as of 11th Nov. The new barriers put in place are totally impassable unlike the barriers that people have been able to walk around previously. It is unknown when the walk may reopen.

I almost quit a thousand times, but it was so worth it!!! The view was breathtaking and there is a hidden, abandoned church used for bootleggers. That was neat to research.

This was a beautiful place to stop for a walk along the cliffs. It was well worth the visit and pleased we took the time to stop. Wish we had longer to keep walking for the amazing views. We were there only 2 hours and wish we had all day to enjoy the views and walk.
