We tooka stroll to the abbey and absolutely loved it, great for taking some photos if you're into gravestones and decaying buildings as I am and also a good opportunity to take a couple of pics of the rock of cashel. Must-see!

We stayed in Cashel and got up early to see the Abbey. We were there at least 30 minutes before anybody else appeared so we got some great pictures minus other tourists. Loved seeing the Rock of Cashel up on the hill in line with...More

I really enjoyed this Abbey. It is located close to the Rock of Cashel but I appreciated the Abbey more because it was less populated. Beautiful architecture and landscape. There is a small walk involved to reach it, well worth the ten minutes!

You need to walk through a cow pasture to access the Abbey, so watch your step. The Abbey is in great ruins, so there's not much to see once you reach it. But for me, it was all about the view looking back at the castle....More

This is really worth a visit if you are already visiting the Rock of Cashel. It has terrific views of the Rock. It stands by itself in a pasture and we had the whole thing to ourselves!

One can see the abbey from the Rock of Cashel, and drive close to it. It is as awe-inspiring as the Rock of Cashel itself.

Just after spending $25 on entrance fee and parking a shirt walk away you get just as good a castle fix. The only thing is you don't get the long expansive views.

This little gem is about a 10-15 minute walk down hill. Not many people at Hore Abbey, the walk was lovey (stick to the path, or you will end up in the cow pasture). The long walk around will take you back to the parking...More

Just a short car journey or manageable walk from the Rock of Cashel. This Abbey ruin is remarkably complete so let your imagination run free. Parking is limited and the access gate narrow for some people, however there is a farm gate that could be...More
