Awesome is a much over used word. But in this case it is entirely appropriate. The Rock is an incredible sight and a truly remarkable place to visit. It oozes history and is full of atmosphere. Well well worth a visit.

I fell in love with the pictures of the Rock of Cashel while researching our trip to Ireland and had high expectations. The Rock of Cashel blew them all away! It's beautiful and offers an amazing view of the town and surrounding countryside. We're usually...More

Not a castle, but interesting 1000 year old historical site. Visitor center has explanatory video, and tour guides discuss the historical importance of the site. Beautiful views on a clear day. You have access to the ruins, but not the tower.

The Rock of Cashel is the perfect place to feel like a princess (or a king!) You can really imagine how days went there years ago! Plus, there's an amazing view to the sunset and to the city from the top of the castle!

Made famous in so many photos, it is even more impressive in person. It rained the day we visited, so crowds were small and we took our time walking through the buildings and grounds. Not to be missed! If you stay at Bailey;s Hotel, you...More

There shouldn't be. I was there in April and they had just taken it down. The rebuilding is stunning. The combination and contrast of limestone and sandstone extraordinarily beautiful. However, I don't know whether they've... More
