The Bamboo Park is largely and magnificently located on the shores of Glengarriff Bay, Though less than 20 years old, many specimen plants have matured very well in this wonderful microclimate. The park itself has unsigned paths and though a simple map was provided, it...More

This was a wonderful park to wonder around for an hour or two. The private views you get from the waters edge are spectacular. The park itself feels very secluded and we felt like we were exploring a tropical forest at times even though it...More

Bamboo park was beautiful on Saturday. There are lots of paths to wander and gorgeous plants and trees. A summer house by the shore and picnic tables is pretty spots. The tea shop is at the entrance a good spot for ice creams and cake.

This is a nice walk but it could have done with a few key aspects to make it step out. It is alot of types of bamboo which are made into paths and gardens. Its worth stepping in for an hour or so.

The park must be a fabulous place to visit when it’s dry but the paths were flooded when we went which spoiled it. Will try again in the summer when the weather improves

Absolutely beautiful spot, well worth the entry fee. A bit of a maze, was a little worried we wouldn’t get back out! Plenty of different varieties of bamboo and other exotic plants. Would highly recommend to anyone with even a passing interest in horticulture.

I love the bamboo park! It is so well maintained and the grounds are lovely to walk through. When I go I tend to bring a picnic and if the weather is good just hang out for a few hours with the kids! It's good...More
