I can honestly say that it is the most beautiful part of Ireland. Everywhere you look there is always something breath taking to see. Even the most remote places are populated and has it's own charm. Dursey island and Garinish spots are the most beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves nature, hills and water to visit this place.

If you actually want one of the most scenic routes in Ireland you should make a nice road trip to the beara way along the coast of Ireland, as well as the Ring of Kerry.

Beautiful part of the world. Some of the roads are on the narrow side but this adds to the experience. Check out the cable car to Dursey Island and go over Healy Pass for amazing views.

Beautiful countryside in the Ring of Beara. Be sure to cross Healy Pass. Watch out for sheep and have your camera ready!

Oh my! If the ring of Kerry is excellent (which it is), then Beara knocks spots off it! Travel clockwise: the first 15 kilometres are tame-ish, narrow roads through forest and rhodedendron glades and boggy lowland. After this the landscape opens into magnificent post-glacial uplands and sublime coasts. Small, well-kept villages full of wonderful colour-washed houses, and all the time... More

Spent a week in southern Ireland on the Sheeps head peninsula, the Beara way is the next peninsula and is equally as impressive, with spectacular views. Lots of view points to stop at if your driving, can be a bit daunting driving as the roads are very high and narrow.

We did this trip as part of a coach tour and it was well worth it for the beautiful views of the Irish countyside. The roads are a bit tight in places but that all adds to the excitement as the coach tried to pass other velicles
