A magical place. I live nearby and it is often where I take visitors for walks. The stones are fairly large and the view down the valley on a clear day or near sunset is spectacular. Worth a visit although parking can be a bit...More

I've spent years going to this circle to heal, to meditate, and to celebrate birthdays. I decided this is where I wanted to be married and it was the most perfect location. It isn't easy to get to...I do recommend parking in town and walking...More

Very interesting. Quiet and stunning views. Well worth a visit. The stone circle is in a boggy field and I would suggest to wear hiking boots or wellies.

Surprisingly tricky to find if you don't know the area because the signage loses interest before you're even close, although it picks up again after a break! Perhaps as a result, you'll almost certainly have the stone circle to yourself. The area around the access...More

On a clear day you can see for miles from this spot, at the top of a steep hill. Two standing stones and a stone circle nearby. These have been standing since the Megalithic era. A remote, tranquil spot - we were the only people...More

My Daughter and I decided to visit the Kealkil stone circle as we were in the area. I must say it was hard enough to find. It would be more a summer attraction. We ventured along and we were glad we had our wellies on...More

This was one of the few places I had on my list to visit while in County Cork. Finding it was not easy. In fact if we had not driven past the end of the road the day before I don't think we would have...More
