We have been there the last opening day of the season 2018. The day after we were there again. Only because of the scenery. Pretty view. So we did not enter the lighthouse itself. Why spending money (again) for this building?

The video at the entrance of the lighthouse is a must see. It could bring you on a time travel to understand the hard life of the lighthouse keeper in making sure that all ships could safely dock into the harbour. It seemed like a...More

Very well preserved lighthouse. the audio visual introduction is excellent. The views from to top are spectcular also - at least on a clear day! Lots of interesting information on sea faring and the role of lighthouses in the past.

This was fantastic, really interesting, fantastic views. There is a lovely drive to it, there's a coffee shop and a little museum giving details about life on a lighthouse. Do not miss if you are visiting Valentia.

There is a small charge to visit the lighthouse but the money is well spent. The tour guide is knowledgeable about the lighthouse and the views are panoramic. They offer drinks and food. We tried the hot chocolate which was very good

Narrow roads down to car park, but plenty of passing places, plenty space to park near the lighthouse. Some info boards around and staff there to answer questions. Were able to climb up to observation platform around the lighthouse to enjoy the views and take...More

Just going down to the seaside proved an adventure and a terrific part of our trip. The steep single-track road down to the lighthouse was anxiety-provoking; the same goes for returning by up the hill! However, once we got down by the rocks, their rugged...More
