There were many interesting things in the Center and we enjoyed our time there. Unfortunately they sold us a DVD of the video they play in the center and that DVD is not formatted for the US. (They knew we were from the US). I...More

We enjoyed the displays and film here. It was an informative visit and worked well for us since we weren't going to do a trip out to Skellig Michael. We had a picnic on the lawn and enjoyed the views out to the town and...More

We arrived only 45 minutes before closing, but the staff was very welcoming and offered to start the orientation film just for us. The film was beautiful and inspiring. The center even includes a large cafe, which was great for us because we found few...More

Free to get in, but make sure you miss the bus tours! When we got there, it was full of “happy tourists” sitting at bench tables enjoying piped Irish traditional songs and eating “traditional” snacks. The souvenirs are what you may expect - lots of...More

Although we did not go out to the rocks because the weather was so foggy, we did enjoy an excellent movie about the monks that lived in isolation on these rocks out in the North Sea. We also enjoyed a fine meal there before boarding...More

Lots of very interesting exhibits to show how the people lived and why on the Skellig Islands. Very interesting to read about building hundreds of steps into the mountain.

We drove the Ring of Kerry and the Skellig Ring. We visited the Skellig Experience just at the bridge from Valentia Island to Portmagee. We thought it was very good. The staff were very friendly and interacted with our children (toddler to teen!). Very informative...More

Very large bridge, which you can also drive across, it is the main route into Valentia Island. You can get a boat too, but it is not really necessary, you can walk, there is a path/sidewalk/pavement on the Bridge.
