Spent a pleasant hour here today. Interesting history and good restoration. Excellent hospitality from the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Cosy cafe at the end of our visit, with delicious hot chocolate!

On the way from Tralee to Limerick we visited this little gem. Restored after a local initiative and taken care of by volunteers this gives a good impression of these kind of prisons in Ireland and their context.

Visited this attraction whilst in the area - what a different world we live in - 7 days in prison for trespass or sent to Australia for minor theft - how times have changed - very educational and great for children

Friendly and lovely museum, we arrived off peak and got a personal tour of the Bridewell. Interesting local history and it was clear how proud the staff were speaking passionately about the subject. Lovely little cafe too for refreshments. Easy to find and free parking!...More
