A nice walk but really sad to see this beautiful old building falling into wrack and ruin. Rough track but ok for kids.

Finding this gem is a bit tricky. The only sign for it is posted on the road that you walk down to get to the castle. It is a simply hand made white sign with the word castle and an arrow assuring you that you...More

But do visit!!! Beautiful ruins and scenery. We walked around for almost an hour. Wonderful photo opportunities if you like. Wear stable shoes and tread carefully.

This is not a grand restored castle. It is a ruin at the end of a "no cars allowed" cattle road. The journey walking to the castle and the accompanying views are almost better than the castle itself.

A short walk from Abbeyglen castle, or Sky road, great castle ruins give an indication of architecture and building techniques.

Not a tower house, definitely more of a castle! Very pleasant walk from the car park with wonderful views along the way.

Yes. Depending on which route you take, the dog might need help with the gates or a style or two, but otherwise it shouldn't be a problem.
