Came to Connemara in October, were very lucky with the weather and went to some of the landmark sites & walks. A visit to Connemara National Park is a must and if you are able a trip up Red Diamond, not the easiest of hills to walk, but well worth the views when you get to the top! The Sky... More

You can make different walks, the longest being around 2 hours, in this beautiful National park. The longest walk brings you on top of a hill from which you see many different type of landscapes (ocean, hills, one abbay and a lake).

On July 15 myself and 8 friends took a trip to the west of Ireland. We wanted to ensure we captured the fabulous scenery that Connemara has to offer. A hike was a ideal way to do this, experiencing the rugged nature of the west. From experience it is always best to have local knowledge on the hike to ensure... More

We booked with Paul Phelan, and took his suggestion of doing the Mweelin Horseshoe in Connemara. Paul was in touch before the hike to suggest a different day which might have better weather - and this turned out to be the case, and we had amazing views. Paul is a great guide, picking out the best routes in trackless bogs... More

If we were the Irish Tourism Agency we'd definitely hire Paul Phelan! He's got all you will love about Ireland: he is a careful and extremely professional hiker, he tells what is truly interesting to know (about history, nature, culture etc), he manages your expectations, needs and experience at best. Not only a great guide, a fantastic person. Thanks Paul,... More

We had the pleasure of visiting some beautiful and untraveled areas of the Connemara peninsula on a hike of several hours, thanks to our knowledgeable and very personable guide, Paul Phelan. His knowledge of the area was what brought us to the areas he showed us, and his warm and congenial company made the walk seem like a stroll with... More

Booking this walk with Paul Phelan was the highlight of our holiday in Ireland. Paul is a great guide, and he gave us loads of interesting information about geology and history of the area and Ireland as a whole. Kids (ages 13 and 15) enjoyed it as well and it was well suited for all of us. Doing this walk... More

Paul knows his onions and knows his territory. We had a cracking day. Mixture of coast walk in the morning and a wee hill in the afternoon. Sun, mist, rain - Ireland at its best Good man you!!

We had a beautiful family hike with Paul guiding us along the ridge and up a mountain. The sea was the dominant feature in our walk and offered majestic views at all times. Paul gave us a lot of insight into the natural geology of the place, its history and the customs of the people. We would strongly suggest a... More
