Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a pleasure to play the venue for the Ryder Cup 2027. The course is currently set up for all types of handicap golfers but I have no doubt it will be a different proposition in 27. Teeing areas and the fairways are immaculate and the greens outstanding. High level of accuracy required for shots to the greens as there are a lot of falloff’s. The greens are fantastic with a lot of movement. We had four brilliant caddies who made the experience unforgettable. Lovely guys and a credit to Adare Manor GC.

Great golf course. Located next to the really expensive Adare Manor Golf course. We had great round along the ruins located right in the course. You meet the locals and they were all friendly.

This was a Groupon deal by Sceptre Tours. We were in Ireland for 10 days. 8 days in the Villas at Adare Manor and two nights in Dublin. A car was included [we upgraded to an automatic]. Right hand drive of course and narrow roads but all of the screaming stopped by the end of the second day!. Our Villa was 3 bdrm, 3 bath with kitchen. That is important as Irish food is not great [excluding The Church in Dublin] especially for the price. They have TESCO which is great for groceries and wine. We drove over 1000 miles in the 10 days. Each day returning to our Villa on the grounds of THE ADARE MANOR. Each evening we got out Rick Steves' book and planned the next day. Day trips are wonderful. We fixed brkfst, packed lunch, and returned for dinner & wine. Adare is a beautiful village on it's own. Drive to Dingle and then take a boat over to the Aran Islands [just go to the 1st island] and get Mr. O'Flaherty's wagon with his horse "Pilgrim" to tour the island. Don't miss the museum in the RR station in Cobh. This is the port where the Titanic left and the Lusitania was headed. Plan on 3-4 hours. Trim Castle north of Dublin was another highlight. There are so many castles & churches. So you'll have to choose. Wonderful people and beautiful countryside. We only did the South half of Ireland as we had no great desire to go north. Fantastic trip. PS we don't play golf but everyone there does, rain or shine.

Played the course recently with 3 of my friends midweek, we're all low teen handicappers (not that it matters) and we've played loads of the top courses around Ireland and beyond including the championship course next door a couple of years back. Booked it up and we were really looking forward to the day.
Arrived 30 min early and it turned out to be a fine day so it was all good.

We were met with one of the ruddiest ladies I've ever experience working in the clubhouse. So sorry I didn't get a name.
She scolded us from the very get go basically and the only reason possible is she didn't like our look. She started by questioned the legitimacy of our booking which was paid in full online, next if we all had the correct golf shoes and clothing (which we all had), she claimed that no way were we to play as a four ball as members were going out behind us- it had to be two twos, (we obviously refused to do as the booked was a 4 ball and we drove 2 hours to be here), She asked to see our GUI cards or we weren't going to be let out and falsely claimed it was wrote on the fine print of our booking. We eventually got going out but to be honestly she absolutely ruined the whole outting. Snobbery at its finest, the definition of all that is wrong in golf and the backward thinking of that generation. pigeon holed us as "not the type" and that was it!

She was a disgrace to an otherwise nice little club course.

I have read, with regret, your assessment of our Golf Club and the bad experience you mentioned. I have noted and discussed your comments with the Management of the Club and I would like, on their behalf, firstly apologize, and secondly, if you would accept our invitation, for you and your playing partners to be our guests, to play our course at your convenience. I do hope you take up this invitation and would be glad to hear from you. Thank you. Adare Manor Golf Club. John O'Gorman, Chairman

I thought the clubhouse and restaurant were unbelievably nice. The foam on my Guinness was even stamped with the Carriage House logo. The practice area was huge and immaculate. Great golf balls, well defined targets, and after using a club a few times I set it aside and a man was right there to clean the clubs. I could get used to being pampered like that.

Fazio did a great job with upgrading the layout. There were lots of variety between holes and great elevation changes. All of the greens were elevated and the SubAir system made them perfect. My caddie was a rookie but he did a great job helping me (also a rookie) navigate the course.

We were courteously met at the gate lodge where I gave our reservation details. The doorman verified my name and gave us directions to the Carriage Restaurant in Adare Manor Hotel Golf Club - not to be confused with Adare Golf Club! We drove through beautiful lawns and on entering the Club, were greeted by a lovely young woman who assisted us with the lift and then met us on the first floor to take us to our table. We walked through a beautiful lounge to the Terrace Restaurant which overlooks beautiful gardens. The restaurant itself is decorated to the very highest standard. Service was impeccable and our meal was delicious. What a joy to find a dining experience which was a treat but without an exorbitant price tag. In addition, there was nothing pretentious about this venue as can so often be the case in restaurants of this calibre. Service Charge is not added to the bill so it was then a pleasure to recognize excellence without presumption. I couldn't recommend this dining experience more highly. The Manor itself was not visible as we drove through the grounds and is protected from intrusion by discreet red traffic lights. Presumably when you have a reason to visit, the lights will turn green!

My 14- year old son & I golfed Adare Manor on 8/25/2016. It was only $30 Euro/ea. A great value for the quality of this course with the unique scenery. You tee off at the base of a castle, an abbey and other ruins. Some of these ruins come into play, if you stray off the fairway. I hit a ball into the cemetery. May that ball RIP. My son hit 2 ruin walls and the ball bounced back into play. A nice bar & eating area. Very friendly staff. Even the members and other golfers were friendly, and curious as to how I found the course, and if I liked it and thought is was a good value. My answer...absolutely. A unique golfing experience. My son & I really enjoyed it, and we both scored pretty well.

this is a real gem in Limerick, when you take your first step inside you feel like you in a real Downton Abbey manor its grand fireplaces and style is fantastic, the staff are very professional and informative. the drawing room is relaxing and the view of the gardens are lovely. the Afternoon Tea is just what an afternoon tea should be its classic. but DON'T eat before you go for this, as you well struggle to finish it for sure, its well worth the money, the crabmeat, the chocolate delice, scones everything was perfect,

This was a 100-year old course that was originally 9-holes. In making it 18-hoes, the greens are very close together and unusually placed. Signage needs improvement to find one green after another. Quite crowded in terms of balls and people near you. However, it is a great price with vintage views of the ruins.
