Played Old Head twice in our weeks stay. This is golfing heaven. The layout and condition of the course is second to none. The facilities are superb. A bucket list course.

This challenging golf course might be my favorite destination to date. It’s spectacular, beautiful, and fair if you can get off the tee. The caddies enjoy showing you around. The dinner afterwards was a little expensive for golf fare, but worth the price. I don’t...More

Fourth time playing Old Head with this one being the windiest ever. Winds were 20+ mph for the whole round, forcing you to think about your shots. Not a very tricked up golf course - few blind shots, nasty bunkers in the wrong place, etc....More

It is a beautiful place to visit. Set out on an Isthmus is a unique golf course. It is well worth a visit to play there. If there is a strong wind blowing it is a very testing course and each hole is so individualistic....More

Most impressive & beautiful course we’ve ever played. We’re comparing Old Head to Tralee, Ballybunion, Waterville, Pebble, Bandon’s 4, Turnberry, Royal Troon, Carnoustie, 3 St Andrew’s courses, Kingsbarns, Gleneagles, Harbour Town, TPC Scottsdale, etc. It’s a must play in the Kinsale area. Expensive (300€) but...More

The views around this course are spectacular. We had a great late afternoon round. When we started there was a good amount of fog but it cleared up after several holes. Paul was our caddie and did a great job providing assistance on ball placement...More

Not only was this little peninsula spectacularly beautiful, the golf course and amenities are first rate. This makes Pebble look ordinary by comparison. Sea crashing on rocks below visible from every hole, flowers everywhere, castle ruins. Worth a visit as a botanical garden alone. Food...More

Lovely place, panoramic views, beautifully laid out dining room. Food excellent, with lovely friendly staff. Only minus was that place was really quiet the evening we visited, so lacked atmosphere. Will return in the future.

As required, we made a booking for lunch but we were not brought to a 'reserved table' outside on such a nice day - we ended up having to share with others. The views are definitely the best in Ireland, and this is what we...More

Wow! If you are golfing while I’m Kinsale, spend the $s to play Old Head. Beautiful setting for a golf course. While a new course, the details of the course make it look like it’s been there forever. Loved it!
