Everything you hear is true. Unmatched piece of land. Excellent, well conditioned golf course (condition-wise, maybe the best you'll play in Ireland). Great caddies. Club house experience (e.g. bar, food) is also excellent. Pro shop is stupidly overpriced. I've played them all. If you're a...More

We stayed two nights at the hotel at Old Head and played one round of golf. It was the most exceptional golf experience that I have ever had-the course and our caddie were wonderful. Truly wish that all could have this experience. Highly recommend!

Played Old Head twice in our weeks stay. This is golfing heaven. The layout and condition of the course is second to none. The facilities are superb. A bucket list course.

This challenging golf course might be my favorite destination to date. It’s spectacular, beautiful, and fair if you can get off the tee. The caddies enjoy showing you around. The dinner afterwards was a little expensive for golf fare, but worth the price. I don’t...More

Fourth time playing Old Head with this one being the windiest ever. Winds were 20+ mph for the whole round, forcing you to think about your shots. Not a very tricked up golf course - few blind shots, nasty bunkers in the wrong place, etc....More

It is a beautiful place to visit. Set out on an Isthmus is a unique golf course. It is well worth a visit to play there. If there is a strong wind blowing it is a very testing course and each hole is so individualistic....More

Most impressive & beautiful course we’ve ever played. We’re comparing Old Head to Tralee, Ballybunion, Waterville, Pebble, Bandon’s 4, Turnberry, Royal Troon, Carnoustie, 3 St Andrew’s courses, Kingsbarns, Gleneagles, Harbour Town, TPC Scottsdale, etc. It’s a must play in the Kinsale area. Expensive (300€) but...More

The views around this course are spectacular. We had a great late afternoon round. When we started there was a good amount of fog but it cleared up after several holes. Paul was our caddie and did a great job providing assistance on ball placement...More

Not only was this little peninsula spectacularly beautiful, the golf course and amenities are first rate. This makes Pebble look ordinary by comparison. Sea crashing on rocks below visible from every hole, flowers everywhere, castle ruins. Worth a visit as a botanical garden alone. Food...More
