This meticulously crafted and finely honed tour was a highlight of our visit to Kinsale. Barry served up an hour and a half of history, far-reaching and esoteric, with humor and a warm, personable approach. We loved it!

The tour was about an hour and fifteen minutes and was packed with history, humor, and time for questions from the crowd. The walking is very manageable as it is split up into segments. We would walk for a bit and then stop for talks...More

This is one of the most informative and interesting walking tours we have taken. Barry’s delivery is relaxed, clear and had us all interested throughout the walk. Kinsale, with it’s busy narrow streets, has a long, varied and interesting history. I would highly recommend this...More

We took this tour on June 4, 2018. Barry was the perfect guide, infusing the tour with not only a lot of information about Kinsale, but also with some added humor. The tour lasted about an hour and a half, time very well spent. We...More

Barry guided our small group on a Saturday. He was fun and very knowledgeable we learned a lot about Kinsale, the history and backstories. We just happened to be there on the day of the 500th anniversary of the landing of Archduke Ferdinand, so there...More

While in Kinsale we saw advertisements for Don and Barry’s Historic Stroll and Tour. We joined in - no reservation required. Barry was our tour guide and said you pay at the end only if you like the tour. Barry was amazing. He was charming...More

I was on Barry’s tour of Kinsale on a sunny morning in May. Barry is a gifted story teller and he brings key figures and events in Kinsale’s centuries old history back to life as he walks the group around Kinsale’s old core. A great...More

Not sure about a website, was written up in Rick Steve’s guidebook. Cost is €8 and group size varies- we had about 20, but he carries a small amplifier. He has a big kiosk at the TI near the harbor.
