Winter Morning Wonder

On a crispy cold Autumn morning my friend and I paid a visit to Lisselan Gardens. The garden was definitely getting ready to settle in for the winter, but the reminiscence of... read more

Came here for a new years day walk and its so lovely, well worth the entrance charge. There is such a friendly ginger cat living in the house who followed us around and acted as a little tour guide! Beautiful gardens.

I've passed Lisselan Gardens so many times and planned to stop and eventually did. The entrance is a little confusing. Parking for the gardens is shared with golf club and you pay to enter at the golf club. It's €6 per adult. Be sure to get a map of the garden. We had a beautiful warm sunny day and we... More

I have rated these gardens as average but it does seem to be work in progress , we spent a good relaxing hour walking around the many trails exploring each area with interest to see what it held. Desmond.

Firstly the good ,the gardens are ok and really that is it ok, lots of work to be done here, there is a walled in garden past the house which was closed the garden here again was ok , a tea room would have been a natural option here surely. Quite a few paths are closed off either for renovation or... More

It's a golf course, but it's also one of the nicest gardens we ever visited. There is a lot of renovation to do, but you don't need the buildings, you want to see the gardens. Victorian walled garden with a well-known fuchsia garden, a japanese garden, a rocketry, an orchard, and ... and ... and.

Really interesting gardens, I know they suffered rather over the last winter but the potential is amazing. It is a pity the terrace is closed off, but it looks like it may be in need of major restoration. The water gardens are lovely but again are in need of a bit of restoration. A tea room would be great!

The gardens were lovely unfortunately they had a flood so some of the paths were impassable. Disappointed with the vintage car section.

Golf course and gardens ..well worth a visit. located about two to three miles outside Clonakilty on the Bandon rd. Lovely walks and extensive gardens with walled garden feature and a short woodland walk. worth the 6 euro admission fee
