This is a very nice country estate that is small enough to easily explore in a reasonable period of time. In addition to the castle, the grounds are beautiful and should be part of your adventure. It makes a nice side trip while in Dublin.

called here on way to Dublin - lovely grounds for a long walk with dog - they have left lots of meadows so not all grass which is lovely - free to park and no entry charge to grounds

What an amazing place to visit. The ancient ruins dating back to 1200's are across from the gift shop area, with the castle nestled just past that. Castle itself is beyond beautiful, as well as the ancient grounds. Saw a amazing looking tree dating back...More

Love castles, stunning, spotless grounds. Great for a day out, picnic with the family or friends. Such a nice area just to chill all day. Free parking available also.

I like to visit castles. So this was a must see. It was small but very well preserved. Not cheap but Ireland is overall expensive in admissions.
