If you are in the area, consider a short visit to this this very old mill. Nice shaded walk along a rushing stream nearby is very inviting as well.

Visited The Abbey Mill yesterday along with some friends from Ballyshannon area. The scenery is beautiful as the river winds down through the woodland and past the water wheels at the mill. The wheels still operate and it is a tremendous sound to hear the...More

This is off the beaten path but worth exploring. Follow the creek up to the caves, then head down to the Waters edge to see St Patrick's well and the rosary path. Doesn't take too long but a really nice spot

Very scenic and near the caves and St. Patrick's well. Unfortunately, the mill wasn't open on the day we visited.

The Abbey mill has a beautiful walkway around the mills, caves and down to St Patricks well. Great for a family day out and for walkers. A lovely cafe shop here too.

The coffee shop is open on Sunday's for the time being not sure of times.. As for the mill wheel and surrounding areas no charge and always accessible.. It is just beside the river, catsby caves and st patricks well.
