Great wines

One of the top domains in Germany. Produces only Riesling, but of great quality both in dry and sweet wines. Friendly helpfull staff. A must go.

The estate is run by the great-grandson of the estate's founder with the focus on Riesling of highest quality. Come and taste the wide range if wines from VDP. Gutswein to VDP. Grosse Lage.

Again it was a pleasure to visit the vinery of Robert Weil in Kiedrich. A wonderful ensemble of a neo-gothic country house, a nice park and a modern manufacturing building, surrounded by their best vinyards. We asked for a tasting and were served immediately allthough some more vusitors were around in the modern styled vinothek. The young sommelier - let... More

Well, most wine tastings in Germany are free, but the wines here are really outstanding, with great elegance. There is a good-sized dedicated room for tasting, and the guy introducing the wines spoke good english and clearly knew a lot about the wines. All of their wines are Riesling, and all in the list are from the current year. While... More

A beautiful location overlooking vineyards with a lovely old mansion on the property. The winery staff was attentive, passionate about their wine and helpful. Wonderfully refined and elegant Rieslings are made here.

Nice enough place to go for a tasting, the taste big room itself is pretty dated though, very 80s in style. Unfortunately they don't ship to the UK so you will have to organise your own postage if buying in any quantity. Their lower-end wines probably provide better value for money than the ones higher up the price scale in... More

We rate this weingut as the best in the Rheingau. Their wine tasting area is stunning and the servers are personable and knowledgeable. Both couples bought lots of wine. We were even presented with a more rare older wine that wasn't listed and it was fantastic due to the aging. Everything we drank was superb and difficult to choose which... More
