Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Large clean rooms with free breakfast. Very friendly staff. Easy access to train station for commute to the inner city. I took the walk across the bridge quite a stomp but lovely views and definitely worth the effort..

Very comfortable hotel type rooms in Anderledy Lodge, it was renovated in 2021 but the place looks like it was finished yesterday. A very quiet place in a busy area was perfect for our errands in North Sydney. Breakfast was included - toast, pancakes, cereals, fresh fruit and juices, tea and coffee etc. In the precinct there are outdor grassed areas and access to the Memorial Chapel where Saint Mary Mackillop is interred.

We found the accommodation to be very comfortable, clean and quiet. The rooms are very spacious. It was a short walk from North Sydney Station.
We would definitely stay here again.

The section we stayed at was of the newer style. They offer reasonable-sized rooms with quality bedding and shower. While it costs a little more it is still the most reasonable we have found in this area. It won't offer city or harbor views but is close to the main center and a short stroll to all transport. Breakfast is continental only but served in a delightful dining room.

We were disappointed to find the museum closed and has been on and off for almost 2 years due to covid and other reasons. They're hoping to reopen next month. But we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We started with lunch and both had the falafel on toasted Turkish which was delicious. A bargain at $6.95 each. My husband said his coffee was flavoursome and hot. The gift shop stocks a wide range of products based on the life of Mary Mackillop.
The chapel itself is divine and is such a beautiful place to house our 1st saints remains.
Spend some quiet time here and in the beautiful gardens. You won't be disappointed.
We will return again when the museum is open.

Mary MacKillop became the first Australian-born Saint of the Catholic Church. She is now known as Mother Mary of the Cross. Mother Mary is entombed in a Chapel in North Sydney. Many devout Catholics come here to pray and reflect on Mother Mary's life of heroic virtue.

Situated in the heart of North Sydney, this chapel is a beautiful place of peace and quiet. Unfortunately due to Covid the museum wasn’t open but you can see the final resting place of Australia’s only Saint Mary MacKillop. Do check the hours though as it did close at 1pm on Monday so not sure on the other days but the cafe is open if you want a bite.

An oasis where all are unconditionally welcome. Hospitality only possible when making a profit is not your primary motive.

We're a regular visitor of this place particularly the chapel where Australia's first saint, St.Mary Mackillop is entombed. A beautiful place of worship and for reflecting on life's ups and downs. We make it a point to give our thanks for all our blessings.
