Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The path around Panega river is pretty picturesque wirh the rocks around and the milky blue river waters. Practically a few narrow bridges are built, picnic spots and parking area and that's all. To me it needs some more organization, especially at times, when social distancing is needed. Haven't seen such crowds and most of the times people are transpassing milimeters away from each other.

Small in length but beautiful eco-trail. The start is just before the town of Lukovit, if you come from Sofia.
Although only 1.2 km away, the trail is picturesque. Numerous wooden bridges lead from one bank of the Panega River to the other or rocks over the river are bypassed. Rest areas have also been built.
It is possible to rent a water bike or kayak and sail on the river.
As it is an easily accessible trail there were many people. The available parking lot, although not small, was full and we had to park on the side of the road.
There is a small place where you can buy food or water if you forgot.

Well organized eco path with wooden bridges and great nature all around. Be there in the afternoon so you can avoid the morning crowds of the weekend. Bring your own water :)

Beautiful eco-trail. The trail is very picturesque road along the riverside. Probably the best time to visit it is spring!

If you travel through the arch on the start of your walk you will very quickly reach a very steep decline - a little dangerous!
Having navigated that ( there is an easier route which we found on our way back) we managed at least three of the bridges before it was too muddy to continue, my husband had open all terrain sandals on and I had white trainers! We did not manage to reach the part of the walk which we were looking forward to - the path up against the rocky terrain with water below!

Nice getway for a day trip from Sofia or central Bulgaria. Very calm during the winter season. Parking is free.

It is a beautiful area, perfect for everyone, as it is a very easy road along the riverside. However, in case you visit it in summer, to be careful with the mosquitoes is required.

This place is perfect for a weekend afternoon. Quiet, not very difficult to have a trek. I probably visited in the best time possible - spring! Everything was blooming. I'd definitely come back in the autumn to see some different colours.
