Climb to a nice cave
Dec. 2020 • Family
Cave Snezhanka is very beautiful, has three accecible rooms with various stalagmites and stalactites. Its at all times around 8C degrees and photography was allowed.
The climb to the cave is through a foredt path with significant slope. It took us about an hour with two small kids to make it, and at times they should be carried. The path reveals a magnificent view to the Kupena reserv at its peak.
The road to the cave is in very bad state - a car can make it, but a jeep is recommended, especially in the lower parts.
At the hut near the cave you can buy homemade marmalade from dandelion, pine jam, forest fruits jam and elderberry juice! Delicious :)
The cave is one of Bulgaria's 100 tourist sites.

Nice trip and cave
Mar. 2020 • Couples
Nice cave. What else can I say? It’s constantly 8 degrees celsius inside and you have to climb to the cave around 20-25 minutes uphill.

Short visit between Bansko and Sofia
Jan. 2020 • Couples
Really nice cave, with bats inside and little tunels and a mini walk/clib to the forest to get there. It is open during the winter althought the road there has some serpentines and will be difficult after snow.

cave snejanka

Very steep up. It's definitely a challenge with kids. Every hour from 10:15 am to 5:15 pm in the summer, you enter with a guide explaining the cave. There are also souvenir counters. At 30 degrees outside, the cave is acceptable for a T-shirt. Wear outerwear just in case.

Magnetism cave
Sep. 2019 • Couples
A beautiful place with its own magnetism. Snow White is one of the most beautiful caves in Bulgaria. It is also known as the "Pearl of the Rhodope Mountains" and is included in the list of 100 national tourist sites. The cave is relatively small, but extremely rich in natural cave decorations - stalactites, stalagmites, sinter lakes and draperies.

Beautiful cave
Aug. 2019 • Couples
The cave is beautiful and worth the climb. It's not for the elderly and hard-to-move people, but for everyone else it's an exciting experience. Another beautiful spot from our small but rich countryside. I recommend it! Just for positive and beauty-loving people, let the blinkers stay down and not have to look at anything.

Good combination of walk views and cave formations
Apr. 2018 • Friends
Snejanka is not the biggest and most impressive of Bulgarian caves, but the region has a beautiful atmosphere to it which really comes out during the short hike to the attraction. We were lucky to be there for golden hour when the sun was bathing the fresh green forest in its rays. We were the only visitors at the time and got to speak to one of the guides extensively - he told us about the discovery of the cave and the spelunking opportunities in the area.

Make sure to stop by the wooden gazebo on the way up and go to the terrace nearby which reveals a dazzling view of the surrounding cliffs and valleys. The hike is not long, but the terrain gets steep at times, bring trekking poles if your knees are weak or just find yourself some nice walking sticks in the forest!

Worth visiting, beautiful cave
Aug. 2017 • Couples
If you are in the area, you should definitely pay a visit of this cave. It is old and beautiful. There is about 40 min climbing from the parking place. The area is really nice, in a forest, so loved the walk in the nature. We actually parked the car about 3km before the cave and walked about 2 hours to get there, but we wanted to go for a walk. If you don't want to walk that much, you can park closer to the cave Snejanka. The tours are every hour, so you make sure to check when is the next tour so you don't end up waiting too much. The cave is not huge and it should take you no more than 30 min to visit. I recommend to have a jumper, as it is a bit cold inside.

Hard walk up the mountain but fully worth it. Tour was not in English but still fun. The view is fantastic from the mountain. Highly recommended
