Beautiful place, no toilets, no cafe, very little parking. Suggest park in Matlock town and walk through the valley. Don’t go at the weekend it’s too busy to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Wonderful area totally ruined by its own success and thoughtless people. Full of litter, broken glass and dog mess. Dangerous wire tied around logs a real tripping hazard! NO parking and busy narrow roads. NO toilets .

Strewn with litter, far too many people. Too many cars but lots of parking in Matlock. No toilets, no food outlets, no parking. Horrendous.

I ought to start by stating that there is a very small free car park (parking for 4 or 5 cars only) near to the falls BUT it is a very narrow and winding steep road that leads down to it! It's not too bad...More

Lumsdale falls is a pleasant walk. You can park at the top near the school and walk down or drive all the way down and walk up. Good for a cpl of hours and not too rigorous. Some wellies would be ideal or hiking boots. Good... More
