Booked a half hour carriage ride for my mothers 70th birthday. £90 for four adults and one child. Excellent communications from owner, great ride on the day even though the weather was foul. We were provided with waterproof blankets, which helped a great deal. Nice...More

We visited this museum in January 2018 but it was permanently closed on 31st December 2017. You can still get a carriage ride at £35.00 each. The two women in the shed (where you could get tickets) we a bit rude. They need to advertise...More

We had read that this was a good place to visit with lots going on, but on the day of our visit it was very quiet and staff not that helpful. Nothing going on!

Dear Stacey, I am genuinely very sorry that you weren’t happy with the room, and I do agree that it was indeed the coldest night of the season so far. However, we are only a Bed & Breakfast establishment and visitors are usually out and...More

The stables and exhibition were very interesting but the highlight of our visit was the carriage ride. We had an hour's carriage ride, drawn by two magnificent greys, going gently along country lanes. The scenery was superb and the whole experience was a taste of...More

If you are fortunate enough to visit the Peaks District, add this working farm / carriage museum to your list. The carriages are amazing in their variety and use. If you have the time, sign up for a coach ride.

When researching this attraction we saw that you could book a carriage ride. What a wonderful experience to be drawn by two great grey horses. The ride was only for half an hour officially but they were generous with their time. The countryside was delightful...More
