Wirksworth Walk with Trains, Quarries and Summer Flowers; history and nature

I am a regular walker and traveller and live in the Peak District. I love this area for its beauty and nature.
This particular walk is special as we start along the Peak Trail on an old train line used for carrying the quarry stones, then move on to Woodland, beautiful open countryside and through traditional villages.
It is the variety of underfoot terrain, views and breathtaking nature that I love so much about this walk.
I am not a licensed guide but I have business insurance for your peace of mind and regular lead walks and both UK and European Tours

Shame I cannot put “no stars” due to the recent experience. I purchased some vintage Levi’s that were too small for me. When I tried to return them I was told that I was unable to have a refund. The reason I couldn’t have a refund was because I “should have “tried them on before buying them” However due to Covid Regulations, which was explained to me in all the other Charity and Antique shops, changing rooms cannot be used. When I explained this to the manager, she bluntly said to her colleague, “Just give him a refund to shut him up!” When I explained that she should have mentioned her refund policy, which disregarded the Covid Regulations, she replied, “I shouldn’t have to explain everything to everybody!” As she was begrudgingly refunding me, she commented that “people like me are destroying the livelihoods of these stall owners and making their lives a hell during this extremely economically stressful time,” as though her error, should be subsidised be me. This was an extremely embarrassing incident that could easily have been avoided, especially when we were considering purchasing three £245 paintings that we had seen the previous day that we were debating whether to buy. The Manager of the shop made that decision much easier to make and we will never go into that shop again and I strongly advise you to do the same.

Went in the shop today with my mum and daughter, when entering the shop my daughter said she really needed the toilet, asked at the counter if there was a toilet in the store for my daughter, the lady was a little confused if she was aloud when another lady shouted over saying no but said some in the park, my mother ran my daughter to the toilet, while I stayed in the store, for then a conversation to be had where the 1st lady said she was confused on if she was aloud to let her bring it a child for the other lady to then say they will use the children, I was absolutely disgusted by the remark, my daughter has medical issues but I understand the public safety laws if that be the case, but comments like that should be kept to her self, will not be returning!

Visited here last week and found most items of car boot calibre, certainly not antiques. There are a few interesting items but very limited for the ‘real’ antiques collector. Would not recommend or visit again.
