Lovely little bakery. Beautiful food, lovely staff and the best Bakewell puddings in Bakewell. Superb! My favourite shop in Bakewell.

Bought 2 bakewells from here and both were awful - one with icing so sticky it took 5 mins to peel the wrapper from it, and the other looked like a traditional Bakewell pudding but was solid, chewy and far from appetising. Also, their prices are ridiculously high. Branding suggests authenticity but they really can’t back it up. Oh, gave them 2 out of 5 because a pork pie wasn’t as dreadful as the bakewells. I’d rate it medium. …

After a day out couldn’t go home without a Bakewell tart or two! A bit over priced but definitely gorgeous to eat at the end of the night with a cuppa. Freshly made and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the coconut cherry tart 😍

I bought 3 of their 'large' Bakewell puddings which cost nearly £18. Each pie would barely serve 3 people. They were very thin and the pastry was tough, Furthermore one of the pies had lost most of its filling whilst being made. Dear Sasha_D-12_12 I'm very sorry to read that you weren't happy with your Bakewell Puddings. They measure more than 7 inches in diameter so I'm very surprised you felt they wouldn't feed 3 people. The puddings are on display under a window, so most customers help themselves, and when we serve them we always aim to show the puddings to the customer so they can see what they're buying. It doesn't seem that this didnt happen in your case for which I'd like to apologise. Each pudding is made by hand so they are all different, but we do always check to make sure that they are all reasonably consistent. My apologies for your disappointment, perhaps you could call me at the shop and we can attempt to put things right? Best wishes Richard

What a find, just love their Bakewell loaf cake and the stem ginger loaf cake, both are moist and full of flavour. But our favourite has to be their pack of four white baps which are so fresh and light.
