A lovely old fashioned sweet shop. So many tubs of sweets to choose from. Very easy to have a few tubs in hand after looking for about 10 minutes. Old fashioned way of weighing them as well which is nice a nice charm. This sweet shop is lovely. The woman who served us was happy to give us information about the town of Bakewell. CASH ONLY. They do not take card here so make sure if you visit you have cash. Would recommend. I already want to go back to buy so more sweets.

This establishment has a wide range of sweets available at affordable prices however their customer service was terrible ! I purchased a couple of types of sweets however beforehand the sales assistant did not clarify that no card payments were being taken ( including apple pay or contactless ) so the only way to pay would be cash or bank transfer. I did not have any cash with me so this meant using the bank transfer method which I'd never been asked to do by ANY establishment before. After reluctantly paying using this method I was MADE to bring up my online banking as proof that I had paid which led to more confusion and rudeness from the staff until eventually they gave up trying to make me prove that I'd paid. Wouldn't recommend going to anyone.

what a lovely little quaint shop, full to bursting with lots and lots of sweet jars, with sweets taking me back to my childhood. Its no problem to wander around, and spend time chatting to the staff, and looking at all the rows and rows of different items, its mesmerizing. i loved the fact i could buy proper food to feed the ducks, this shop is a little alladin's cave for sweet lovers , and a must to visit when in Bakewell
