Very welcoming guides who were keen to chat and impart their knowledge. We particularly liked all the Lister embroidered upholstery; and the virginal and spinet in the music room (Great Parlour). The Yew topiary cottage adjoining the manor is stunning. There is a lot more of the manor that is not open to the public; but good to note that... More

If you like a small manor house then this is for you. It was enchanting and the musical instruments very interesting. A great group of enthusiastic volunteers. Not a stately hoe on the grand scale but a very interesting historic home. Note limited parking, no loos, shop, tearoom.

This is a small medieval manor house with living in tenents so the opening times are limited. It is however a real jewel, so well preserved and with so many interesting objects, especially in the music room. Don't miss it and note that its only a few miles from Farleigh Hungerford Castle so a really good trip can be undertaken.

Extremely interesting house with lovely embroidered fabrics, in-period furniture, interesting ancient musical instruments & so many good small pieces& artworks on display. A human scale very well kept small manor house.

I didn't get caught out with the times but, unlike many National Trust properties, this one isn't open every day and only opens in the afternoon. As a NT member, I usually try to visit any property that's within my reach. I had a couple of hours to spare on my way to Bath, so visited the adjacent church as... More

This is a lovely small house with beautifully decorated plaster ceilings, tapestries, and furniture. We also enjoyed chatting with all three guides in the house. For anyone who is spending some time around Bath, this is worth a visit.

We visited showery afternoon but still had a chance to look at the tidy gardens. The house is a very good example of early domestic architecture and the house guides were very helpful and informative. Check opening hours as quite limited. No facilities provided on site. Parking limited.
