The Williamson Art Gallery and Museum houses several exhibition spaces showing exhibitions of local, national and international interest. The building also houses a museum which houses the largest collection of Della Robbia Pottery from Birkenhead as well as gallery dedicated to the local maritime history of Birkenhead with models of ships and boats as well as other maritime artefacts. Within the gallery, there is a cafe, craft/gift shop and independent bookshop and art supply shop. There are regular art classes and more.

A hidden gem of a museum. Lovely exhibits including artwork. Different displays on so checkout dates. Nice cafe too. Little art shop worth a visit too.

great gallery, child friendly check out the website for events.and exhibitions, has an art shop and bookshop within.

What a lovely art gallery with pictures to suit all tastes, we loved walking up and down looking at landscapes, abstracts and portraits all sitting side by side on the walls. There was a room full of model ships and a room full of pottery....More

Great place to look at the work of new budding artists or go back in time to artists of long ago. Whichever you prefer there is always something of interest here. It's free and has a good little cafe inside too.

The array of paintings ad exhibits in this Art Gallery an museum is always worth a viit as it constantly changes. Good rainy day opportunity also
