As entry is free with a Mersey ferry cruise , a stop-off here is a no-brainer. The museum is well interested and, whilst I can understand some of the complaints written in other reviews about cutting up such a historic artefact, without doing that, access...More

Unique display of WW2 German U-boat. Display provides an operational history of the U-Boat and it's sinking at end of WW2. Also provides background as to how the vessel came to be on display. The U-Boat is cut into sections to enable viewing of interior...More

Hi Heather, thanks for the great review! The U-Boat story is fascinating and well worth a visit to see and imagine just how cramped conditions must have been. Thank you for the recommendation. We're really pleased you found it educational and intriguing

This site is a travesty, a textbook example of a gratuitous failure in museum curator-ship. To cut up a historic vessel of this sort, under the misguided notion of accessibility is a very serious crime. Clearly those charged with the care of this u-boat have...More

How on earth did those men live and work inside such a small spaced 'iron coffin' ??? This was my first visit since they 'did up' the place and I like it. The Uboat is cut up into sections so people can see the interior...More

My husband and I stopped off here as the Mersey ferry ticket also included the entrance fee to the U-Boat Museum. Though small, we were not disappointed! What an intriguing exhibit this turned out to be. Through interactive exhibits, video, artifacts, etc. it showed what...More

Hi, thank you so much for the review and recommendation! We're so pleased you enjoyed visiting the U-Boat Story and found it good value with the ferry ticket. The exhibits are facinating and the sections of the U-Boat really help to envisage what life was...More

Quite interesting to see, hear and read about life on these vessels. The U-boat has been sliced into several sections so you can see inside. A few interesting exhibits. Worth having a look.

Some of the equipment wasn't working properly and is slightly dated but it is interesting to see inside the U-boat. You couldn't spend hours here but it's good for an hour before you get the ferry.

Was an interesting place. Basically all that is there is a small museum and a single u-boat cut into pieces. You can look round the museum and see interest facts and the story of the u boat, and then look at the uboat. It’s sliced...More

IF you take the Ferry Tour at £7.50 per person, this includes the U Boat Story. But the tour is a bit of a con, it does not travel the same tour as a few years ago.
